Thank you for visiting the Herring Parent Team website! Our group's mission is to: support and advocate for the success of Lucy Herring Elementary School students through developing community partnerships, ensuring educational excellence, and promoting responsible lifestyles.
All supporters of students, staff & families of Lucy S. Herring Elementary in Asheville, NC are part of the Parent Team!
The Lucy S. Herring Parent Team works to:
Engage our families and community through events like the Fall Garden Party, Black and Hispanic Heritage Nights, Walk and Roll to School Day, and more.
Enhance educational resources through funding the garden program in conjunction with FEAST, providing teacher grants, purchasing new PE equipment and library books, and providing scholarships for field trips.
Support our teachers through staff appreciation efforts like meals, treats, gifts, and classroom stipends.
